Fourth Annual Uplight Voice of the Energy Customer Research: Is the Engagement Gap Increasing?

Now in its fourth year, Uplight’s annual Voice of the Customer research surveys 1,000 U.S. energy customers to track energy customer preferences, purchases, and plans.

The survey explores:
  • Year-over-year trends in utility engagement and satisfaction
  • Residential customers’ attitudes and uptake of green energy technology
  • Familiarity with and use of utility programs
The good news: this year’s data points to increasing customer trust with utilities. But, that isn’t yet translating into action. Customers are still uncertain about energy programs and technologies, and fewer customers report participating in time-of-use rates, engaging with energy savings tips, and utilizing energy rebates than in years past.

In this webinar, Uplight and See Change Institute uncover what these trends mean for utilities (hint: price, awareness, and eligibility emerge as barriers, but are not insurmountable), and share ideas on how to close the engagement gap to engage and motivate energy customers to be a part of the clean energy transition.
