Innovation Drives Action at Uplight
At Uplight, innovation drives action— whether it’s building our solutions, collaborating with partners, or launching pilots with clients to accelerate progress towards a clean energy ecosystem.
Our integrated rates solution, for example, has recently leveraged an innovative approach to improving participation and customer satisfaction in rate programs. Last fall, we partnered with a utility to pilot personalized Rate Education Reports to help customers select the best rate for them. Over 5% of customers receiving these reports went on to enroll in a time varying rate— 2.5-10x the enrollment rate at comparable utilities. By surfacing personalized rate comparisons, we convinced customers that rate switching would be worth their time (and wallet!).
Inclusion and Collaboration Build a Culture of Innovation
Uplight makes it a priority to foster collaborative, innovative spaces. Recently, we launched five transformation initiatives to streamline products and processes, resulting in more efficient outputs including a 35% faster product kickoff-to-launch time.
At Uplight, we know that innovation cannot exist without inclusion. In 2023, Uplight held its first Employee Resource Group Summit, offering our diversity champions opportunities for leadership development and team building. During the summit, attendees produced an outline of actions to implement to improve our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) strategy— including a mentorship program for mothers preparing to go on and/or return from parental leave, and leveling up allyship and inclusive behaviors through a learning series across the business.
