It’s official–Uplight has completed the B Corporation (B Corp) certification process and joins 3,000 other companies around the world committed to using business as a force for good. B Corp certification is a rigorous process that takes into account social and economic performance such as committing to local purchasing standards, reducing carbon emissions, fair labor, and much more. 

B Corp certification is central to Uplight’s company mission–enabling energy users and providers to accelerate the clean energy ecosystem, as well as create a more sustainable future. This business structure holds us accountable for these social and environmental objectives, and enables us to protect the planet while also making a profit. 

It’s no secret that Uplight considers climate change an emergency, and believes that we need to transition to a clean energy future to prevent devastating environmental impacts. That’s why we  set the ambitious goals of reducing CO2 emissions by more than 100 million metric tons and saving consumers more than $10 billion on their energy bills in the next 5 years.
