Nick Chaset
CEO
Nick is Chief Executive Officer of Uplight and Octopus Energy U.S. Previously, he was the inaugural Chief Executive Officer of Ava, leading its start of service, community expansion, and programmatic milestones. He also advised former Gov. Jerry Brown on distributed energy resources.
Hannah Bascom
General Manager
Hannah is General Manager at Uplight, leading Commercial teams that catalyze the market for decarbonization and drive growth.
Before joining Uplight, she spent 20 years building partnerships and new markets in the climate and social impact space. She is passionate about accelerating a cleaner, more equitable future for everyone.
Erik Murrey
SVP, Technology
Erik is Senior Vice President of Technology at Uplight, leading the Delivery Engineering, Security, Software Architecture, and Platform teams.
He has more than 20 years of experience across startups and enterprises, including four acquisitions. He builds global teams and applies a data-driven approach to talent, process, and technology.
Sarah Russell-Smith
SVP, Product & Operations
Sarah is Senior Vice President of Product and Operations at Uplight. She leads product development and drives operational excellence.
Before Uplight, she led behind-the-meter automation technologies at Octopus Energy. She also served as Chief Strategy and Sustainability Officer at Amber Electric. She holds a doctorate in engineering from Stanford University and is passionate about creating a sustainable energy future.
Shanelle McKethern
SVP, Accounting
Shanelle is Senior Vice President of Accounting and Controller at Uplight. She leads Accounting, Financial Reporting, Audit, Compliance, and Treasury. She has more than 15 years in Big Four accounting, software, and energy. She is a certified public accountant with an accounting degree from the University of Colorado.
Neil Veilleux
SVP, Commercial
Neil is Senior Vice President at Uplight, leading the commercial organization across Sales, Solutions Architecture, Market Development, and Commercial Operations.
Previously, he led the distributed energy resources practice at The Cadmus Group. He was a Rappaport Public Policy Fellow at Harvard Kennedy School and a Fulbright Scholar in Germany.

Lindsey is Senior Vice President of Marketing and Partnerships at Uplight, leading Corporate Marketing, Product Marketing, Partnerships, and Business Development.
With nearly two decades in marketing leadership and more than 13 years in energy and clean technology, she turns market insights into strategies that spark action toward a clean energy future.
AJ Lawrence

AJ is Senior Vice President of Strategy at Uplight, building capabilities for its next growth phase. Before Uplight, he was Chief of Staff to the Group Chief Financial Officer at Octopus Energy Group, driving mergers and acquisitions, including its three largest transactions. Earlier, he spent six years at EY.
