Virtual Power Plant (VPP) Conference
March 5-6, 2025 – Houston, Texas
Uplight’s Nils Frenkel, VP of VPP sales, will be speaking at this year’s VPP conference in Texas, leading the session The Impact of Successful VPP Implementations from 3:00 – 3:25pm on Wednesday, March 5th. He’ll share insights from Uplight’s experience delivering VPP solutions for global energy providers, address challenges through real-world case studies, and explore VPP benefits to consumers and the grid.
AESP Annual

We’re excited to sponsor, exhibit, and speak at this year’s AESP Annual Conference. We’ll be participating in the following sessions:
- Electrification Nation: Understanding (and improving) the electrification customer journey on Tuesday, March 11th, 10:45 AM – 12:00 PM. Uplight’s Elizabeth Korb, Staff UX Researcher, will be joining industry experts to discuss how energy monitoring systems and load management tools can enhance the electrification customer experience, diving into real-world examples and data on consumer behavior.
- Unlocking the Power of Virtual Power Plants (VPPs) and Aggregation for a Resilient Energy Future on Tuesday, March 11th, 3:15 PM – 4:30 PM. Uplight’s Sadia Raveedran, VP of Industry Solutions, will be moderating the session, exploring the role of demand response (DR) and VPPs in aggregating distributed energy resources (DERs) with Alliant Energy, Alabama Power, and Renew Home. Panelists will discuss how to expand existing DR programs, recent successes, and what’s next for DR and VPPs.
- Tailored Solutions for Complex Energy Customers: Enhancing Engagement Through Data and Decarbonization Tools on Thursday, March 13th, 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM. Panelist Emily Rich, Uplight’s Senior Product Marketing Manager, will dive into business customer engagement best practices alongside industry peers, discussing how utilities can leverage customer-centric tools to drive energy savings, decarbonization, and load flexibility.

PLMA DTECH DER Symposium
March 24 – Dallas, Texas
We’ll be at the PLMA DTECH DER Symposium, a part of the Distributech international conference. Join our session Transforming DERs into Reliable Load: Puget Sound Energy’s VPP Journey from 11:30 AM – 12:00 PM with Uplight’s Gisela Glandt, VP of VPPs, and a partner from PSE. The session will discuss PSE’s journey to growing their VPP program, how they have expanded assets, lessons learned along the way, and their plans for 2025 and beyond.
SECC Customer Symposium
March 24 – Dallas, Texas
Meet Uplight at the SECC Customer Customer Symposium to hone in on clean energy MVPs— energy customers. Uplight’s Laura Cornish, Director of Product at Uplight, will be taking the stage with GridX and Consumers Energy at 4:00pm in the closing session, Shaping the Future: Consumers and the Energy Movement. The panelists will discuss the role customers play in moving towards a smarter energy future, and proven strategies to get customers on board.
