Uplight is expanding opportunities in the clean energy ecosystem, enabling utilities to reach their objectives faster by leveraging the expertise of ecosystem partners in the grid edge, consumer channels, digital transformation channels, and technology spaces.

Through these partners, utilities can extend their reach by easily and more cost effectively surfacing energy offerings in third-party services such as smart home devices and related apps. Having a robust selection of partners allows utilities to meet customers where they are, which is critical to decarbonization efforts as the ecosystem of grid-edge solutions expands exponentially.

Now, Uplight welcomes Google as one of our ecosystem partners with Nest Renew.

Nest Renew is a service for compatible Nest thermostats that makes it easier to participate in energy programs and support a clean energy future.* Nest Renew makes it easy to enroll in utility demand response and engage with time-of-use programs. This can help utilities to manage peak demand, enhance reliability, and reduce emissions. Nest Renew was built on the premise that our grid needs to be more flexible as more clean energy is produced to fight climate change.

Uplight is the most established innovator in the open ecosystem, already offering hundreds of third-party energy savings products through its top performing utility marketplaces and is one of the nation’s leaders in running device-agnostic grid orchestration programs. Uplight is also the only technology provider in the country to successfully bundle ecosystem offerings with multiple utility programs in a customer-friendly secure digital experience.
