Who is AutoGrid?

AutoGrid is a cleantech company that offers distributed energy resource management systems (DERMS) and manages distributed energy resources (DERs) via virtual power plants (VPPs), microgrids, large asset and grid-scale storage management, energy market access, and beyond. AutoGrid is based in Redwood, CA and is was previously owned by Schneider Electric. Schneider is also a strategic investor in Uplight

What makes Uplight and AutoGrid the right fit for each other?

This acquisition combines Uplight’s depth of expertise in energy customer engagement with AutoGrid’s leading flexibility management platform, generating more value from grid connected assets across the clean energy ecosystem.

 

It enables compelling paths of active participation for residential, small business, and commercial & industrial customers, bringing with them more types of assets that can be connected to the grid.

 

This larger platform aggregates technologies and programs that have previously been disconnected, unlocking significant new opportunities for energy providers, smart energy equipment manufacturers, automakers, service providers, and a host of other clean energy ecosystem players.
